I need to convert the view of date to dd-mm-yyyy

Is it way to convert the view of date to dd-mm-yyyy like 25-12-2010
and not only in view when edit or add new date want type the date like this format 00-00-0000 which mean dd-mm-yyyy
and don't want enter date by calendar but by self typing
